MSF welcomes Shari Fox as our newest Trustee

Montclair Scholarship Fund welcomes longtime Montclair resident, Shari Fox, to our Board of Trustees. Shari moved to Montclair with her husband, Alan, 25 years ago and is proud that their two children both say they wouldn't have wanted to grow up anywhere else.

Shari is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Cornell Law School. She practiced corporate law in NYC for 13 years before becoming an active volunteer in the Montclair schools, working as a Watchung School PTA Board member, School Action Team President and Writer's Workshop coach for several years, a member of the Montclair PTA Council and Buzz Aldrin Middle School PTA, and most recently, an MSF "Mardi Gras Montclair" Committee member and co-chair.

Shari has enjoyed getting to know college applicants from Essex County as a volunteer alumni interviewer while serving on the Cooperman College Scholars applicant review committee. Shari has also worked for the past three years as a member of the grants review committee of Impact100 Essex, which helps fund innovative projects managed by local non-profit organizations. Shari and her family were pleased to fund an MSF memorial scholarship last year in honor of her sister, Phyllis Ziegler, who was an accomplished educator. Welcome Shari!
