How does the FAFSA delay affect my application?

If you have not yet received an email from FAFSA that your processed FAFSA Submission Summary report is available for viewing by the MSF application deadline on March 11, 2024, but have received an email from FAFSA with your Estimated Student Aid Index (SAI), please upload a screenshot or PDF of that email when you submit your MSF Scholarship Application. Once you receive access to your Submission Summary report, you must then email a copy of the report to MSF at application@montclairscholarshipfund.org (mailto:application@montclairscholarshipfund.org)as soon as possible to complete your application.

The application is available online (https://forms.gle/YMZSFsYipgj9wLpY9)in February and March, and you may apply anytime until the deadline. Once the deadline has passed, the application is closed.

Do I need to apply for a particular scholarship?

No. Complete the online application (https://forms.gle/YMZSFsYipgj9wLpY9)and you will be considered for all MSF awards.

Do I need to complete and file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and submit my FAFSA Submission Summary to MSF to be eligible for a scholarship?

MSF is aware of the ongoing FAFSA reporting delays. While these delays may result in adjustments to our deadlines for submitting FAFSA information, applicants must submit their FAFSA Submission Summary reports once they receive them to complete MSF’s 2024 application. No. Applications must be submitted by using the online application.(https://forms.gle/YMZSFsYipgj9wLpY9) Computers are available in the Montclair High School Resource Center and the Montclair Public Library (with library card).

When and how do I deliver my FAFSA Submission Summary report to MSF?

Separately, the Guidance Department will provide your transcript and guidance recommendation to MSF.

How do I deliver my school's Financial Aid Award letter to MSF?

MSF will notify those students who will be considered for a scholarship.  The email notice will have instructions for uploading your Financial Aid Award letter.
