"Scholarship Sam" Competes in Van Vleck's Scarecrow Competition

For the first time, "Scholarship Sam" stood bravely with the other scarecrows in Van Vleck's annual scarecrow competition. Sadly, he was outvoted this year, but MSF has plans next year to make the most beautiful and original scarecrow that will have the entire town of Montclair talking and donating to our great organization.
It’s great seeing community events like the Van Vleck scarecrow competition bring people together for a good cause. I remember helping a small campus club decorate a themed display for a fall fair once, and even though we didn’t win, everyone had fun seeing our idea come to life. Reading this made me smile, especially since busy seasons sometimes make students joke about things like pay someone to take my class for me when schedules get packed.
